The Yucatan is a high-end "Ready-to-Run" 1: 8 scale crawler built on the successful ABSIMA CR3.4 chassis. All the characteristics that made the little brothers on a scale of 1:10 (Sherpa, Khamba) so successful have been adopted. The 1: 8 chassis allows even more extreme maneuvers and the size of the body allows details to be emphasized even better, giving the vehicle a delightful driving experience. There is also an 80A speed controller from Hobbywing that is fully programmable (optional program box 2110060). In combination with the larger and more powerful 775 engine, the vehicle reaches a top speed of over 30 km / h in 3S LiPo operation. So not only the obstacle, but also the way to it is the goal. Portal axles not only provide a greater distance from the differential housing to the ground than conventional axles, they also have another plus. With conventional tracks, the torque exerts so much force that the vehicle jumps over the obstacle. The portal axles construction reduces the gear ratio on the wheels and practically eliminates the drive torque peaks. The overall shaft drive gear ratio is more than twice that of non-gantry compatible versions to ensure smooth running. Like its little 1:10 brothers, the YUCATAN also has a 2-speed manual transmission that allows you to overcome difficult terrain and get to the next obstacle quickly. Just press a button on the remote and switch from the standard gear ratio of 1 / 37.1 (low speed) to 1 / 15.1 (high speed)
