The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Club Racer makes its debut on the new and versatile MB-01 chassis platform. For the GTA Club Racer, the MB-01 platform is configured as the chassis with a middle wheelbase and midship rear motor/rear-wheel-drive (MR) specification. The Sprint GTA was developed as the lightweight, tuned racing version of the 2-door coupe Giulia Sprint GT and was released in 1965. 500 units were produced, and in the late 1960s, the factory car became the champion multiple times in the European Touring Car Championship, drawing significant attention on the racetrack.
The MB-01 Chassis
The compact 2WD MB-01 chassis offers a choice of three types of wheelbases and a front- or rear-wheel-drive system. This model features a midship rear motor and rear-wheel drive. Without removing the battery pack, motor, and other RC components from the central frame, you can easily change the attachment direction of the final gears and steering linkage to switch between front- and rear-wheel drive. You can also choose a low or high motor position for rear-wheel drive cars. The double wishbone suspension has a symmetrical structure with friction dampers. Composite components like the motor mount, final gears, and suspension make assembly and maintenance more efficient.
