The steering servo is fitted with metal gears, making it strong enough for use in loose sand. The special new belted tires are optimized for use in sand, with paddles at the rear that efficiently transmit the motor's power, and front tires designed not to dig in but still offer surprisingly good grip on harder surfaces.
