The X-MAXX has a self rightning mode if the car turns over once (or twenty), you can automatically return the car to its feet from the transmitter. (It almost looks like a cat, but one of 12 kilos and with more than 9 lives). So even if the stunting is not quite the way you want it to be, that is no problem for the X-MAXX, it forgives you immediately so that you can continue practicing to do it right next time.
No lack of stability!
The X-MAXX doesn't just have enough grip and tricks on board to help you if it lands upside down. He has a lot more on board to keep you in control. For example, its large tires give very good grip, the shock absorbers are extra heavy and solidly designed for the heaviest blows. But the car also has TSM on board (Traxxas Stability Management), which sounds like an expensive option that you find on sports cars and with that you can certainly compare it. TSM ensures that the rear does not constantly break out and the car can be kept under control when starting and driving at high speed. Of course you can adjust the function to your own driving experience. The less TSM, the more aggressive the X-MAXX will become and the more it demands from your driving skills.
Rain, Snow, Hail no problem!
Of course, this beast is not afraid of a bit of wetness, the car is completely splash-proof, so you can tear through the puddles or snow without worry. With the waterproof electronics you are also completely sure of this and the X-MAXX will not stop you from driving. Of course you are free to choose whether you want to go outside in these circumstances, but you can also cross the driveway snow-free with your X-MAXX from your warm living room with a hot chocolate milk.
Taming the X-MAXX?
We understand that after all of this, you think the X-MAXX is an indomitable 12kg cat with claws the size of a tiger. Fortunately, nothing could be further from the truth for beginners, Traxxas has also built in a training mode with which the car is also ideal for starting and building up the power in steps. With the Training mode, the car has approx. 50% power. The real RC driver of course only has 1 position and that is FULL power! But we understand best that you do not want to drill your new car directly into the first lamppost with all the consequences that entails.
Almost indestructible or not?
